We
own and operate a fast
31ft
sea anglingboat
called
"TIGGER"
License No. 1021which operates from
Castletownbere, West Cork,
South West
Ireland
TIGGER fishes and seats 10 persons in
comfort. She has an Irish Passenger boat P5 license for up to ten
passengers which enables her to fish or sightsee up to 30 miles from land.
She is
equipped with the latest in Simrad Navigational aids and technology to
increase our chances of finding those specimen fish !!!!. (52 Irish
specimens in four seasons, another 10 specimens in
2008)
We have a
fitted toilet accessible direct from the main deck. In addition a live
bait well has been fitted with a filleting table built in so that your
catch can be prepared for the table in comfort.
rod
holders for 10 rods available as are 10 sets of the latest PENN or
SHAKESPEARE rods and reels.
End tackle can be
purchased from our comprehensive stock on board.
Fishing is varied from both
boat and shore. There are 23 signposted and purpose built shore angling
spots around the Peninsula.
Species
caught from 2001 to 2008
include, Pollack, Coalfish, Cod, Mackerel, Conger Eel, Haddock, Ling,
Thornback Ray, Blonde Ray, Spotted Ray, Turbot, Bass and Blue Shark and
many others.
In 2009
we have several
new locations and reef areas to explore
and fish. These are in addition to
all the marks we have successfully fished
since 2004.
We work
closely with the
Central Fisheries board in Tagging and releasing all Blue Shark and Ray
(Over 200
Ray and 50 Blue Shark tagged and released in last four
seasons,
81 thornback & spotted ray and 15 Blue Shark tagged in 2008)
